About this opportunity:

Ericsson China Access Network R&D Center is looking for Filter Design Engineers to contribute to the development of radio base station (RBS) products. In this role you will focus on RF cavity filter design and verification for multi-standard radio units (5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM), working closely with other radio hardware engineers in a collaborative R&D environment.

What you will do:

• Perform analysis and simulation for RF cavity filter designs, including feasibility studies and design optimisation.
• Conduct tuning, optimisation and verification of filter performance to meet product and specification targets.
• Troubleshoot filter-related issues in prototypes and products, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including schematics, simulation reports and test results.
• Cooperate with radio HW designers and other cross-functional teams to secure end-to-end radio unit performance.

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Microwave Engineering, Wireless Communications, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of microwave engineering and electromagnetic fields.
• Strong circuit and field simulation skills using tools such as Matlab and HFSS (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience in cavity filter design and other passive RF components (e.g., couplers, low-pass filters).
• Proficiency with RF test equipment, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators and power meters.
• Open-minded, eager to learn and comfortable working with Lean/continuous-improvement principles.
• Proactive, positive working attitude with good teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent spoken English and excellent written English.
• (Nice to have) Ability to use mechanical CAD tools such as Creo/ProE.
