IT Director – Digital and AI Integration (Manufacturing, E-channel)

About our client

Our client is a listed company with manufacturer capabilities, and they are seeking to bring in an IT Director to drive transformation and assist the company in uplifting their global presence.

About the role

You will lead the team in shaping a clear, business‑driven technology direction and turning it into a phased roadmap that protects day‑to‑day stability while advancing targeted transformation and innovation. You will set the rules of engagement for IT – how choices are made, which standards apply, and how success is tracked – and put in place a streamlined governance approach that reassures the business its technology is being managed thoughtfully and transparently. A major part of your remit will be to rationalise and uplift the ERP environment, collaborating with functional leaders to standardise processes, improve data quality and create strong integrations so the ERP operates as a single, reliable backbone for the company. You will also architect and refine the suite of web applications and digital tools that underpin sales, customer interactions and internal efficiency, defining how ERP, CRM, e‑commerce and other core systems connect through APIs, middleware and related integration patterns.

The successful candidate

• Degree in computer science, information system, or a related field
• At least 15 years of project management and related experience in the manufacturing sector
• Leading Change - A natural ‘change agent’ that can identify what is needed to drive technology success and is not afraid to implement
• Deep understanding of AI capabilities and solutions, and experience in digital product management and software product lifecycle in an agile environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong and collaborative relationships with diverse and demanding internal and external customers
• Strength of character, resolve and drive for performance. Someone who enjoys working within a fast paced ever evolving organization.
• Experience of interpreting, analyzing complex data sets, with ability to translate with ease into purposeful communications.
• Good command in Chinese and English
