Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Work on end-to-end DCS projects comprising of scope of Automation systems for Metals/Pulp & Paper/Mining/Cement sectors.

• Leading a complete project comprising of scope of Automation DCS system for Cement & Mining & Pulp mill sector.

• Lead activities of basic and detailed engineering of automation systems including hardware and application programming. Will be responsible for technical deliveries in engineering, testing & commissioning of the systems.

•  Execution of projects by following the engineering & commissioning workflow as per QMS defined.

• Prepare, study and analyse existing system and work on revamp/retrofit solution.

• Understanding requirements of sub-system and coordinating with other engineering departments in getting it delivered as per application requirement.

• Ensure preparation of technical specifications are in line with project specifications signed with customer.

• Preparation/approval of basic engineering drawings like SLD, GA, IGA, fabrication drawings etc., in case of building stand-alone drive panels (especially for cranes).

• Perform technical review before document submission to ensure that delivered documents are as per the customer technical specification.

Qualifications for the role :

• Minimum B.Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.

• 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience in Automation systems & controls with relevant process experience in Cement /Mining /Metals /Pulp & Pape

• Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components
• Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC’s, Server components of DCS
• knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems 
• Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation
• Knowledge of below ABB systems is added advantage -
• ABB automation systems like 800xA, Advant, Compact HMI etc.
• ABB ACS880 multi drive, standalone drive.
• ABB ACS800 multi drive, standalone drives
• ABB DCS800 LVDC drives
