ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Sales & Product representative, you bring a strong commercial drive, problem-solving skills, and a business development mindset to drive growth in the cleaning formulations market. Building on our extensive portfolio of specialty chemicals, including (bio)surfactants, builders, polymers and specialty additives, you will translate market and application knowledge into value-added solutions for customers across Benelux.

In this role, you’ll proactively identify and pursue opportunities with current and prospective customers by combining commercial insight with technical understanding of cleaning formulations and market requirements. Working closely with Azelis commercial, technical, regulatory and lab teams, you’ll support customers with formulation advice and ideas, European legislation and regulatory affairs guidance, market analysis, trends data and hands-on lab support.

You will work with Europe’s leading formulators to solve complex cleaning and sustainability challenges using different ingredient technologies. By strengthening customer and supplier engagement, developing strategic approaches for new product specialties and technologies, and helping customers improve performance, sustainability and differentiation in their end markets, you will play a key role in driving value creation. This role is ideal for someone who pushes boundaries to achieve organic growth and profitability, provides innovative solutions, and is dedicated to ensuring the success of both Azelis and our customers.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have solid technical product knowledge, acquired through education or experience, and a strong affinity with (bio)chemistry, including surfactants, builders, polymers and specialty additives;
• You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commercial drive and the persistence to identify, create and convert opportunities in a competitive and evolving market;
• You understand the needs of leading formulators and translate complex cleaning and sustainability challenges into value-based solutions that improve formulation performance, differentiation and long-term customer success;
• You communicate clearly and confidently with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, both spoken and written, in Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French is an asset;
• You are focused on account development, customer intimacy and building long-term partnerships with Azelis customers, suppliers and colleagues across departments and regions;
• You thrive in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, building trusted relationships and working across functions, regions and laboratories to deliver value beyond products;
• You are digitally savvy and work in a structured and accurate manner, using CRM, digital tools and data-driven insights to maintain high-quality reporting, follow up on opportunities and manage customer interactions effectively;
• You actively embrace digital ways of working, including CRM discipline, market intelligence tools, digital collaboration platforms and AI-enabled support, to improve efficiency, customer understanding and commercial decision-making;
• You effectively manage a diverse portfolio of customers, suppliers and projects simultaneously, with the courage and creativity to turn new ideas, technologies and market trends into business opportunities that deliver measurable financial impact and sustainable profitable growth;
• You are based within reach of our offices in Merelbeke (BE) and/or Utrecht (NL) and are willing to travel to customers, suppliers and other Azelis offices in EMEA when required by the business and team.
