Job Description
Summer 2027 Internship
Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027
Location: Austin, TX

- Lean Thinking: Interns are expected to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement thinking throughout their project work; Lean training and resources will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Simulate mechanical and multi-physics processes in semiconductor 3D integration technologies by utilizing commercial and custom finite element software packages
- Design and optimize mechanical elements using modeling results
- Create advanced models to analyze simulation and experiment results
Qualifications
- Required:
- PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, materials science or relevant field at the start of the position
- Experienced using finite element software, e.g. Abaqus, Ansys, COMSOL, etc.
- Experienced in machine learning algorithms and programming software (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with applied statistical theories
- Strong knowledge in advanced mathematics
