Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the fiscal health of our organization by managing, developing, and implementing comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and complex analysis. You will serve as a key subject matter expert, supporting team members through mentorship while ensuring the integrity of our financial operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, tax compliance, and audit preparations.

 

Every day you will leverage your expertise to create and utilize automated financial tools that streamline the reporting of consolidated financial results. You will be responsible for performing essential accounting functions, actively participating in the annual budget development, and compiling critical hospital volume-related statistics. Furthermore, you will provide accurate data to stakeholders, ensure the secure handling of sensitive financial information, and communicate essential financial insights, progress reports, and potential fiscal risks to management.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field—or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent industry experience—along with at least 5 years of robust analytical and accounting expertise. You must demonstrate strong data-driven decision-making skills, the ability to coordinate complex workflows to meet rigorous business goals, and a commitment to professional communication and ethical standards.

 

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-compliance healthcare environment.

• Mentors and supports team members in the development of their knowledge and professional skills.
• Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to cash management, tax and audit, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
• Creates and utilizes automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results for both internal and external use.
• Performs accounting functions for the organization, including record keeping and reporting.
• Actively participates in developing the annual budget.
• Compile hospital volume-related statistics. Assist in developing proper statistics for new programs and coordinate the gathering of the related statistics. Compile and ensure the accuracy of information provided to outside entities. Maintain mechanisms to ensure that the distribution of sensitive data is handled correctly.
• Communicates to the manager any changes, progress, status, financial data, financial problems, significant transactions or any extraordinary circumstances.

Job Requirements

Required

• Bachelors Degree or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of the degree, and
• Minimum of five (5) years analytical and accounting experience.
