Lead Breakfast Cook
Embassy Suites by Hilton – Marlborough, MA
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Lead Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team! This position plays an important role in creating a great start to our guests’ day and will take the lead on our popular made-to-order omelet station, while also helping ensure the breakfast operation runs smoothly and efficiently.
TYPICAL HOURS: 5am-1pm
Weekend availability is a must.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook made-to-order omelets and other breakfast items to Hilton and hotel standards.
- Operate and maintain the omelet station while providing friendly, welcoming service to our guests.
- Prepare breakfast meats, eggs, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, and other menu items as needed.
- Lead the breakfast kitchen during assigned shifts and help coordinate the work of other breakfast cooks.
- Assist with banquet food preparation, plating, buffet setup, and service as needed.
- Support the culinary team with banquet events and other hotel functions.
- Ensure food is prepared safely, properly portioned, attractively presented, and served at the appropriate temperature.
- Monitor food levels and communicate when additional preparation is needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work station throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including proper storage and rotation of food.
- Help train and support breakfast team members.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Perform other kitchen and breakfast-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a breakfast cook, line cook, or similar culinary position.
- Experience cooking made-to-order omelets is strongly preferred.
- Banquet cooking and/or banquet kitchen experience is a huge plus!
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a busy breakfast environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to food quality and presentation.
- Ability to provide friendly and professional guest service.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
