Description

About Reproductive Freedom for All (Formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America)

For more than 55 years, Reproductive Freedom for All and its chapters have fought to protect and expand reproductive freedom —including access to abortion and contraception — for everybody. We are powered by our more than 4 million members from every state and congressional district in the country, representing the 8 in 10 Americans who believe every person should have the freedom to make the best decision for themselves about if, when, and how to raise a family.

Reproductive Freedom for All centers diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in our organization and our work. Continuously learning from our history, we hold ourselves accountable to achieve reproductive freedom with equitable access for everybody. As the oldest and largest national membership organization primarily focused on advocating for abortion access, we organize and mobilize, galvanizing millions of people to take action to defend reproductive freedom, and shining a spotlight of accountability on bad actors who work to impose their ideological agenda on others. We also work to elect champions for reproductive freedom and advance state and federal legislation to safeguard it. For more information on Reproductive Freedom for All, please visit our website

About the role:

Reproductive Freedom for All is looking for a tested digital communications leader to build and lead one of the most ambitious digital communications programs in politics.

We're looking for someone whose expertise has been built through robust experience—someone who knows what exceptional digital communications looks like, exercises strong judgment in fast-moving environments, and is driven to keep learning as platforms, technology, and audience behavior evolve.

This is not a role for someone who thinks digital communications is simply about posting content. We are looking for a leader who understands that every post, every video, every podcast, and every campaign is an opportunity to mobilize our more than 4.5 million members, engage the 8 in 10 Americans who support reproductive freedom, reach new audiences, shape culture, build political power, elect reproductive freedom champions, and hold anti-abortion politicians accountable at the ballot box.

As our Senior Director of Digital Communications, you will set the vision for Reproductive Freedom for All's digital communications program—leading our social media presence, creative operation, podcast ecosystem, YouTube strategy, creator partnerships, executive digital communications, and the talented team responsible for bringing that vision to life. You'll build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team committed to setting the standard for digital excellence in the reproductive freedom movement, creating a culture where creativity, experimentation, thoughtful feedback, collaboration, and continuous learning are expected every day.

You’ll understand that digital doesn’t just raise our profile—it’s a critical part of our strategy. You’ll build relationships across teams and execute strategies integrated with our communications, government relations, political, and organizing teams. Your goal is not just more clicks and follows, it’s electing reproductive freedom champions, holding politicians accountable, and defending and expanding reproductive freedom policies.

You'll know when to move quickly and when to slow down. You'll understand that factual doesn't have to mean boring. Serious doesn't have to mean stale. You'll know how to communicate complicated issues with clarity, humanity, urgency, and creativity.

You'll constantly ask:

"Will this stop someone's scroll?"

"Will this reach someone new?"

"Will this make someone care?"

You'll stay laser focused on impact—not vanity metrics—measuring success by whether our work mobilizes members, reaches new audiences, shapes the national conversation, and helps build the power needed to protect reproductive freedom.

You'll help establish Reproductive Freedom for All as the premier digital hub for creators, influencers, celebrities, and trusted messengers in the reproductive freedom movement, while elevating the digital voices of our organization's leaders and expanding our influence far beyond our own channels.

Most importantly, you'll be the kind of leader people want to work for—someone who develops talent, inspires teams, welcomes feedback, raises the creative bar every day, and believes exceptional digital communications doesn't just tell stories. It builds movements, grows political power, and helps secure reproductive freedom for future generations.

  • Partner closely with National Organizing, Government Relations, Political, Campaigns, and other teams to translate existing organizational relationships and programmatic work into compelling digital storytelling and amplification opportunities, with clear ownership and coordination across teams;
  • Serve as the digital and creative lead on cross-functional partnerships, bringing expertise in audience, platforms, content, production, and distribution while respecting functional ownership of relationships with elected officials, movement partners, advocates, and grassroots leaders;
  • Develop systems and infrastructure for identifying and activating trusted messengers across campaigns—including creators, cultural figures, advocates, elected leaders, storytellers, and organizational partners—so that teams across RFA can more effectively leverage digital voices to advance shared goals;
  • Manage agency partners, production vendors, freelancers, and consultants, ensuring high-quality creative work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational priorities.
