Description
Overview
We are currently looking for Skilled/Semi Skilled Vehicle Technicians to assist in the following areas of vehicle research and development
- Electrical Testing (including Connected Car)
- Dyno & Emission Testing
- General vehicle-based servicing, test preparation and safety checks (Control Room activities)
Responsibilities
- Preparation of vehicles or parts for special uses including Test use.
- Evaluation of vehicle performance according to set criteria.
- Assemble / dis-assemble parts, components, or vehicles for static & dynamic test activities.
- Maintenance of Vehicles to include safety check, retrofit, fault finding and repair.
- Liaise with engineers to conduct tests to client standards & local operating procedures.
- Instrumentation set-up.
- Write reports.
- Assist with facility management inclusive of maintenance, facility calibration, risk assessment and training.
- Learn bespoke client systems required to fulfil role.
Qualifications
- Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 3 for skilled roles
- Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 2 for semi skilled roles
Desired skills
- Previous experience of working in a vehicle build/prototype environment would be desirable.
