Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception Access Control in Weehawken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a premier commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control, support badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a professional, visible presence while helping to deter security-related incidents and communicating clearly with tenants, guests, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report unusual activity or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with building management and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Assist with front desk administrative duties, including answering phones, directing guests, receiving deliveries, and providing clear information about building access and amenities.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
