Overview
USU Extension Uintah County is seeking a motivated and creative Program Intern to join our team and gain valuable real-world experience in outreach, communications, and program development.
As a Program Intern, you will play an active role in supporting educational programs that serve local communities. Working alongside Extension faculty and staff, you'll contribute to projects that inspire learning, promote community well-being, and connect people with valuable resources.
This hands-on internship offers opportunities to:
- Gain professional experience assisting with social media content creation and marketing campaigns that promote Extension programs and community engagement
- Create engaging educational materials, presentations, and outreach content
- Assist with research and data collection to evaluate program impact
- Support community events, workshops, and outreach activities
- Help strengthen community engagement through evidence-based programming
- Gain experience in program planning, promotion, and evaluation
Interns will build practical skills, expand their professional network, and gain meaningful experience while contributing to programs that make a positive impact throughout Uintah County.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Utah State University Extension faculty and staff to plan, organize, promote, coordinate, and support community outreach and engagement activities.
- Assist with the development and publication of educational and informational materials, including presentations, social media content, outreach materials, reports, and contributions to journal articles that address identified community needs.
- Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data to help evaluate outcomes and measure community impact.
- Assist in preparing and sharing research findings, program results, and educational resources with stakeholders, community partners, and the public.
- Help promote Extension programs and events through marketing, communication, and outreach efforts.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of workshops, events, and educational programs designed to engage and serve local communities.
- Work closely with Extension faculty and staff to strengthen evidence-based programming and community engagement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Extension programs, research activities, and outreach objectives.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with two years of experience.
