Essential Job Duties:

  • Work on wet and/or dry production lines.
  • Ensure food products meet desired quality and safety standards.
  • Assist with packaging of final product.
  • Learn basic equipment and machine functions.
  • Assemble and package food products according to specifications.
  • Ensure food products meet desired quality and safety standards.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with labeling, sealing, and final packaging of product.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with GMP and food safety standards.
  • Perform routine quality inspections and remove defective items from the line.
  • Performs other related tasks, as required.

Competencies

  • Ability to understand and follow written/spoken instructions in English.
  • Ability to take and pass a food handler’s certification test within 30 days.
  • Commitment to follow all Company procedures.
  • Strict Adherence to safety standards and requirements.

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse/ manufacturing facility.?

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to allergens (such as peanuts), odors, fumes, dust, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The temperature of the warehouse is dependent on the weather.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may occasionally be required to taste the products.

Requirements

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The shift is four-10 hour days.

Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.


Travel

Occasional travel (less than 25 miles) may be required.


Required Education and Experience

No experience necessary. All training done onsite

High School Diploma


Preferred Education and Experience

Prior experience working for a GMP/ FDA regulated facility.
