Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Market Development Rep, you will cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with community physicians, driving awareness and interest in targeted services and service lines, serving as a vital connection point between the medical community and our organization.Every day you will operate under the direction of the Hospital/Market Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and the Market Executive Director of Market Development (EDMD), collaborating with Senior Team and Program Directors. You will develop acute knowledge in specified service lines to increase interest and awareness, building existing physician relations and establishing new ones. You will proactively identify barriers to physician satisfaction, communicate issues to leadership, and ensure managed follow-up to address concerns.To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a keen understanding of healthcare services and physician needs. You will demonstrate a proactive, results-oriented approach, assessing market trends, articulating service offerings, and effectively addressing physician feedback. Your strategic thinking and collaboration across leadership levels will be crucial for service line growth and physician satisfaction.
- Participates in developing service line and specialty growth goals and metrics with directors and other key hospital personnel.
- Identifies, proactively, needs and presents ways that Arizona hospital service lines can add value to physician/client service needs.
- Performs periodic visits with community physicians and their office leadership within guidelines set by the Director.
- Maintains excellent working relationships with all physicians and their staff by providing excellent service and by facilitating problem resolution as identified by the client.
- Reports issues to the appropriate hospital leadership to identify root cause and problem resolution. Responds as directed by administration to situations requiring immediate attention.
- Coordinates internal sales activity with others who have responsibility for sales efforts such as marketing, laboratory, radiology, out-patient services etc. so that physician offices and personnel are not overwhelmed by many contacts on the same day or same week.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Degree in business administration, marketing, public relations,communication, or related field
- Three (3) years experience in customer service, medical sales, pharmaceuticalsales, or healthcare-related environment
Preferred
- Masters Degree or MBA Healthcare
- Healthcare Business development experience
