Be part of a company that recognizes your talents, rewards your efforts, and helps you reach your full potential. At ABC Supply, we have YOUR future covered.

Position Summary:

ABC Supply is seeking an experienced National Fleet & Equipment Sales Specialist to lead the sale and disposition of retiring fleet and equipment assets throughout the United States and Canada. This role will be based out of Beloit, Wisconsin and will serve as ABC Supply's subject matter expert for used equipment valuation, remarketing strategy, auction-house relationships, title documentation, and asset recovery performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience selling commercial trucks, trailers, forklifts, cranes, boom trucks, and other heavy or specialty equipment. This person must understand how to evaluate asset condition, select the highest-value sales channel, negotiate with buyers and auction providers, and manage the title and ownership-transfer process from sale through final documentation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Equipment & Vehicle Sales

  • Lead sales efforts for retiring fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Market and sell commercial trucks, trailers, boom trucks, forklifts, cranes, and specialty fleet.
  • Develop pricing strategies based on equipment condition, market demand, historical results, and comparable sales.
  • Negotiate directly with buyers, dealers, brokers, auction representatives, and other resale partners.
  • Recommend the best disposition path for each asset, including retail sale, dealer sale, wholesale, auction, online marketplace, or other approved sales channel.

Auction House & Remarketing Management:

  • Manage relationships with national and regional auction houses and used-equipment resale partners.
  • Coordinate asset listings, descriptions, photos, inspections, transportation, and sale preparation.
  • Compare auction performance by partner, region, asset type, fees, cycle time, and net proceeds.
  • Build a competitive buyer network to increase visibility, bidding activity, and final sale values.
  • Continuously evaluate whether auction, direct sale, or other channels generate the strongest financial return.

Title, Sale Documentation & Compliance

  • Oversee title transfer and ownership documentation for retiring vehicles and titled equipment.
  • Coordinate bills of sale, title releases, and required sale paperwork.
  • Work with internal fleet, accounting departments as well as branches to ensure accurate records and clean transaction files.
  • Ensure assets are not finalized for sale until required company steps, equipment removal, documentation, and approvals are complete.

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Track sale proceeds, net recovery, days-to-sale, resale performance, auction fees, and recovery value against market expectations.
  • Develop monthly reporting for leadership showing financial impact, trends, and opportunities to improve return.
  • Identify underperforming asset categories or sales channels and recommend improvements.
  • Support replacement planning by sharing resale trends and residual-value insights with Fleet Services and Procurement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with NSC Fleet Services, Regional Fleet Specialists, branch leadership, Procurement, Accounting, and Operations.
  • Support disposal planning by reviewing asset condition, age, usage, location, and resale readiness.
  • Coordinate logistics with branches and third-party partners to keep the disposition process moving efficiently.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on sale readiness, required photos, condition details, and documentation needs.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in used equipment sales, commercial truck sales, heavy equipment sales, fleet asset management, asset disposition, auction management, or equipment remarketing.
  • Auction-house experience: Direct experience working with national or regional auction houses, online auction platforms, or used-equipment resale partners is strongly preferred.
  • Title experience: Hands-on experience managing vehicle titles, ownership transfers, bills of sale, lien releases, and related sale documentation is required.
  • Sales background: Proven ability to negotiate large-dollar used-equipment transactions and maximize resale proceeds.
  • Market knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial vehicle and heavy equipment markets, resale values, buyer behavior, and auction dynamics.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to evaluate sale results, compare channels, build reports, and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort using asset management, auction, reporting, or marketplace platforms.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed to inspect assets, meet vendors, attend auctions, or support branch and regional needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling or remarketing fleet assets across multiple states or regions.
  • Existing relationships with auction houses, equipment dealers, brokers, or commercial-vehicle buyers.
  • Experience with online equipment marketplaces or digital auction platforms.
  • Knowledge of multi-state vehicle registration, titling, and equipment-transfer requirements.

Benefits may include:

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage - eligible after 60 days, low out of pocket
  • 401(k) with generous company match - eligible after 60 days, immediately vested
  • Employer paid employee assistance program
  • Employer paid short term and long-term disability
  • Employer paid life insurance
  • Flex spending
  • Paid vacation
  • Paid sick days
  • Paid holidays
