Our Technology Development Graduate Program is a 16 month maximum-term contract with employment anticipated to commence in September/October 2026. Based in our stunning Barangaroo office in the heart of Sydney.
You’ll start by building a strong foundation in enterprise software engineering, working as part of an established engineering squad on our trading technology. As you progress, you’ll have the opportunity to work on real AI-native projects, experimenting with emerging technologies and solving genuine business problems.
What You’ll Be Working On:
From day one, you’ll embed within an established engineering squad as a contributing software engineer, learning by working on real systems alongside experienced developers.
Begin in the Execution Squad, contributing to day to day Agile delivery, BAU development and production support while building practical experience across the CMC trading platform, SDLC, engineering standards and regulated software development.
You’ll follow a hands on approach, developing your technical capability and financial markets knowledge before progressing into AI-native engineering.
As your engineering foundations develop, you’ll have the opportunity to work on real AI projects and experiment with emerging technologies, including:
AI Skills and agent workflows
Prompt and instruction engineering
Data engineering, retrieval and knowledge bases
Structured AI outputs
AI evaluation and continuous improvement
Enterprise AI governance
Our graduates are already applying these concepts to real business challenges, including building AI capabilities that bring together information from enterprise platforms and transform it into useful, business ready insights.
Future projects could range from AI-powered intelligence and reporting to exploring how AI can transform unstructured information into structured data for integration with trading technology.

What Will Help You Be Successful:
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
Having recently graduated (within two years of application date) or completing your relevant tertiary study in 2026
A willingness to experiment, learn and iterate
Strong collaboration and communication skills
A passion for programming and a keen interest in Financial Services, trading technology
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Eligibility to work in Australia permanently
