Overview:Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) . Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Position Details:
Location: Mercy Downtown Rogers
Shift: Full-time
Hours: Mon - Fri (7:00am - 5:00pm)
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certification:
Must actively maintain MA certification.
Experience:
One year of applicable patient care experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Complete Advanced Standard Rooming with overall achievement >= 90% for the last 6 months including:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.
Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.
Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
