Position Overview:

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist (PSS) to join our team. This position is initially offered on a fixed-term basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on your performance and the clinic's needs. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive team that values your contributions and fosters professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the friendly face that greets and checks in patients at our front desk
• Navigate the complexities of medical authorizations with ease
• Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries, ensuring a smooth experience
• Master the art of scheduling patient appointments and managing our clinic's calendar
• Maintain accurate patient records with precision and attention to detail
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and their families
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless clinic operations
• Take on administrative tasks and support the team as needed

What We're Looking For:

• A High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree is a must
• Prior experience at the front desk of a medical clinic is a big plus
• Familiarity with medical authorizations and insurance processes
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer skills and data entry
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive information with confidentiality

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience working in a healthcare environment. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and insurance terminology. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal customer service and telephone skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated experience in a high volume, fast paced environment. Demonstrated team-oriented and collaborative work style.
