Role summary:The Supplier Performance Manager is a strategic leader within Walmart and Sam's Club Perishable Supply Chain, responsible for driving supplier performance, operational excellence, and end-to-end freight flow optimization. This role partners with suppliers, merchants, replenishment, operations, and carriers to remove barriers, improve service, and strengthen network performance. Responsibilities include monitoring key transportation metrics such as OTIF, LOS, capacity utilization, and freight reliability, leveraging data and analytics to identify risks and drive continuous improvement. Success requires strong supply chain expertise, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder influence, and collaboration to deliver sustainable business results while supporting supplier success, customer satisfaction, and enterprise objectives.
About the team:
The Inbound Perishable Supplier Performance team champions seamless supply chain operations by identifying and resolving freight flow barriers. Focused on reliable, on-time service, the team supports retail, replenishment, operations, carriers, and store customers through tailored solutions. They maintain an efficient, flexible delivery network responsive to evolving demands while fostering strong partnerships with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers. Committed to operational excellence and innovation, the team addresses logistical challenges with professionalism and integrity, ensuring smooth end-to-end freight movement and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
What you'll do:
- Manage supplier performance within transportation operations, ensuring accountability for On Time and In Full (OTIF) and Level of Service (LOS) delivery compliance.
- Monitor transportation trends and performance metrics to identify risks, resolve long-term challenges, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop, track, and maintain transportation KPIs and annual goals to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional partners to address performance gaps, strengthen reliability, and optimize service outcomes.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce recurring issues and enhance overall transportation efficiency.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in supply chain and transportation management, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data, perform root-cause analysis, and design solutions that reduce disruptions.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and Tableau to analyze trends, build dashboards, and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies that balance short-term problem-solving with long-term supply chain improvements.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to influence key stakeholders—guiding end-to-end decisions that benefit the overall business, even when they may temporarily impact individual KPIs.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
