This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in New York, New York. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 

 

Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring an Enterprise Pricing Optimization Director. The Director, Enterprise Pricing Optimization NA leads enterprise pricing optimization and price execution across North America. The role closes a strategic gap in inventory lifecycle management by advancing clearance pricing, pricing analytics, scenario development, and in-season promotional pricing recommendations in partnership with financial planning leadership. The Director oversees a team of analysts dedicated to ensuring timely and accurate pricing execution across banners and channels.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Pricing Strategy

  • Drive and execute omni-channel pricing strategy, governance, and transformation.
  • Lead multi-year pricing transformation and integrate optimized pricing value into corporate and financial planning processes.
  • Refine corporate pricing policies and governance frameworks across stores, store clusters, digital channels, and banners.
  • Drive adoption and growth of competitive price benchmarking in partnership with merchandising leadership and cross-functional partners.

Forecasting & Execution

  • Optimize the exit of aged inventory using analytics-driven location-level markdowns.
  • Develop clearance financial forecasts in partnership with merchandise financial planning to guide pricing actions.
  • Execute optimized pricing actions for aged and clearance inventory to improve sell-through and product margin rates.
  • Support the execution of promotional pricing across all NA banners using product lifecycle attribution to guide decision making.
  • Own aging product margin planning and decision-tree logic for optimal product disposition in partnership with Inventory Optimization.
  • Participate in banner forecast and digital planning alignment meetings to provide a pricing POV on markdown, promotional budgets, and digital strategy effectiveness.

Performance & Reporting

  • Produce quarterly pricing effectiveness KPIs tied to margin growth, sell-through, aged inventory, and pricing execution accuracy.
  • Prepare weekly pricing recaps for business reviews and provide a point of view on tactical adjustments to active promotions.
  • Identify and manage pricing strategy KPIs that measure adoption, financial impact, execution quality, and continuous improvement.

Innovation & Analytics

  • Champion adoption of data-driven pricing models, predictive analytics, competitive scraping, market share inputs, and item/class elasticity studies to optimize revenue and margin.
  • Define the business logic and model inputs needed from Data and Analytics.
  • Execute testing to validate pricing hypotheses and measure the financial and operational impact of recommendations.
  • Recap learnings from peak seasonal promotional campaigns, including Back to School and Holiday, to improve future pricing and promotional effectiveness.
  • Lead the North America pricing Center of Excellence to standardize best practices and accelerate innovation.
  • Support business leadership in use of analytics to drive promotional decisions.

Leadership & Governance

  • Enable faster, more profitable decisions across banners by establishing shared inventory guardrails and a consistent framework to reduce aged inventory and protect margin.
  • Lead and mentor the North America pricing team of managers and analysts; build succession plans and talent pipelines.
  • Manage team workload, provide timely feedback, and support associate development to ensure pricing deliverables are executed on time and with quality.

Technology & Tools

  • Lead North America deployment of pricing platforms.
  • Assess process and technology opportunities that strengthen pricing strategy as an enterprise differentiator; recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and adoption.
  • Oversee key price execution processes, including MAP, exclusions, RPA creation, permanent price changes, zoning, and clustering strategies.
  • Drive automation and scalability in pricing processes through advanced technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue optimization, or analytics, with North America scope
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven track record influencing executive leadership and driving enterprise transformation
  • Expertise in pricing governance, advanced analytics, and AI-driven pricing models

Preferred Skills:

  • North America market pricing experience across diverse geographies and channels
  • Executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead organizational change and pricing transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar front-end BI applications
  • Experience with database programming languages such as SQL or Python preferred
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable inferences
  • Familiarity with advanced statistics, regression analysis and econometrics preferred

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $140000 - $165000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
