ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for a luxury boutique resort in the Dominican Republic. This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the overall management of the Maintenance Department, overseeing the resort's full facilities operation across guest rooms, villas, condominiums, public areas, and infrastructure. The right candidate brings strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to asset management, and the leadership skills to build and develop a high-performing team.

The right candidate brings strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to asset management, and the leadership skills to build and develop a high-performing team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Direct and supervise all maintenance operations across the property, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and infrastructure systems
- Design and oversee a comprehensive preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programme for all areas of the resort
- Ensure the maintenance, preservation, and proper presentation of villas, condominiums, and managed properties, guaranteeing functionality, safety, and structural integrity
- Coordinate periodic property inspections and ensure prompt follow-up on repairs, owner requests, and guest concerns
- Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, controlling costs, tracking variances, and identifying savings opportunities
- Monitor energy, water, and utility consumption across the property and implement sustainability and efficiency initiatives
- Oversee procurement, vendor management, and contractor performance for all maintenance-related services and supplies
- Manage department inventory, including spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team, promoting operational discipline, safety, and a culture of continuous improvement
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager or Director role within a luxury hotel or resort environment
- Strong technical background across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Experience overseeing villa or condominium maintenance is a strong advantage
- Solid budget management and cost control skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop a maintenance team
- Spanish proficiency is required given the location
- High school diploma or equivalent; Hotel Management degree or diploma is an asset
