The Role
In line with ongoing and upcoming climate resilience, water resources, and infrastructure initiatives, expressions of interest are invited for a Coastal Resilience & Water Resources Specialist position based in Hyderabad, Pakistan.
The role requires a senior engineering professional to provide technical leadership in coastal resilience, water resources, flood risk reduction, climate adaptation, and infrastructure development.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Coastal Zone Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 20 years of experience in coastal engineering, water resources, flood mitigation, climate resilience, or related infrastructure, including 10 years in planning, design, review, and implementation of coastal protection, flood management, drainage, or resilience projects.
- Experience in coastal infrastructure, erosion control, shoreline stabilization, flood risk management, and climate adaptation.
- Ability to integrate engineering solutions with environmental sustainability, ecosystem-based approaches, and resilience planning.
- Strong knowledge of coastal processes, hydrology, drainage, flood management, and climate resilience.
- Experience in technical reviews, quality assurance, feasibility studies, design management, and implementation support.
- Experience in large-scale, complex infrastructure programs.
- Experience on projects funded by international development agencies, donors, or multilateral financial institutions is an advantage.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, government entities, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
