You will develop and perfect new aerospace coatings formulations and improve formulation of our existing products. Join our aerospace business in an exciting and technically fulfilling position.

You will report to the Science & Technology Coatings Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• You will perform laboratory work related to Task Requests and Projects.
• Develop new products to meet customer requirements, our environmental legislation to maintain current market share and obtain new business.
• Engineer/modify our existing products to meet customer requirements.
• Provide advice and recommendations to other departments and customers to help solve potential problems and queries.
• Perform other work according to Task request system.
• Input formulations into our site MRP system.
• You will make decisions regarding adjustment and release of production batches, raw material selection and substitution and modification of internal product specifications.
• Meet with our suppliers to discuss new materials or problems with existing materials.
• Support quality department in resolution of customer complaints.
• Supports Industrialization in the establishment of manufacturing processes.
• Perform daily responsibilities relating to EHS, 5S and any other company programmes.

Qualifications

• A Chemistry degree is required or relevant work experience
• Ability to formulate coatings (training will be provided)
• 2+ years of Lab-based experience
