Job Description

As a Security Officer Overnight Biotech Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare research location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and follow site procedures for admitting, directing, and documenting guests and deliveries.
• Complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, patrol observations, access-related activities, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
