  • Build strategic relationships and collaborate with business partners to anticipate and evaluate risk and deliver exceptional business partner experiences. Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations clearly to key stakeholders and senior leadership through quality, high-impact deliverables and insights.
  • Support the department risk assessment and annual audit planning, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and stay abreast of technology, audit, and risk management best practices and lead department initiatives to identify efficiencies and improvements across audit processes and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or related field.
  • CISA, CRISC, CIA certification. 8+ years of experience in IT audit, risk, or compliance, with expertise in internal controls, SOX 404, system implementations, risk assessment processes, and risk-based audits.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, managing direct reports and driving team performance.
  • Strong knowledge of application, operating system, and database technology; IT general controls, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver results.
  • Proficient planning and project management, across multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Big Four firm or Fortune 500 company, with advanced knowledge of IT risk and controls.
  • Advanced degree in Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Industry experience in retail or financial services (public company).

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA and Associates will work onsite 4 days per week.
