DIVISION: ISIPINGO HOSPITAL
JOB TITLE: PROFESSIONAL NURSE – MIDWIFE – NIGHT DUTY
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
- Must be able to practice within the scope of practice as Registered Nurse (Midwife).
- Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff.
- Attend to patient care within the Unit.
- Attend to patient's complaints.
- Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the ward.
COMPETENCIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Educational Qualifications & Experience)
- Must have grade 12
- Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Midwife.
- Preferably have two or more years of experience as Registered Midwife in Maternity or Labour Ward.
- Shift Leader
SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)
- Must have excellent telephone skills.
- Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Excellent observation skills.
