Job Summary
Associate Software Engineer assists in implementing software based on outlined designs, writing clean, maintainable code, and performing basic unit tests. As an entry-level role, it involves active learning through participation in team activities and Agile practices, laying the groundwork for growth in software engineering skills and contributing to project goals. This role may involve, identifying problems that may arise from system enhancements, executing test scripts and reporting defects to ensure quality. This role supports full stack development within the SDLC, focusing on learning to enhance frontend, backend, and UI/UX components while collaborating with teams to ensure effective integration and performance.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of financial technology solutions by implementing software based on outlined designs. Write clean, maintainable code under guidance and escalate if any risk to development timelines. Provide technical on-call support and respond to incident inquiries as needed. - (15%)
- Writes automation test scripts and performs unit tests to verify functionality and identify issues. Participate in peer code reviews to understand compliance with standards and learn best practices. Contribute ideas during team meetings to help improve application quality and efficiency. Learns and develops an understanding of all of the components and functionality of the system and framework. - (15%)
- Support full stack development projects by collaborating with team members to design, develop, and implement software solutions. Learn to integrate components effectively and gain understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - (15%)
- Develop responsive user interfaces and backend systems using modern frameworks and technologies. Follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, and assist in troubleshooting software issues. - (15%)
- Contribute to enhancing user interfaces by applying UI/UX design principles. Work with designers and developers to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing experiences. Help gather and analyze user feedback for continuous improvement of software usability. - (15%)
- Work collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team, focusing on communication and teamwork to achieve project goals. Engage with team members to learn processes and tools while seeking feedback from peers and mentors to enhance technical and business knowledge. - (15%)
- Gain proficiency in at least one programming language. Contribute to the development or maintenance of foundational components for financial applications and actively enhance technical knowledge through training and hands-on learning. - (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- 0-1 years of work experience in related field (Software Development Life Cycle across Full Stack, Frontend and Backend Development and UI / UX engineering).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience in related field (Software Development Life Cycle across Full Stack, Frontend and Backend Development and UI / UX engineering).
