Project Manager Plant Development & Industrial Construction (d/f/m)
To support our Plant Development & Cross-Project Management team, Airbus Aerostructures GmbH is seeking two Project Managers for Construction & Infrastructure (d/f/m) to be based in Hamburg.
We are driving production stability: from complex construction projects to strategic risk management, you will help secure the ramp-up of our successful Single Aisle, A350, and A330 programs. At the same time, you will act as a central point of contact for our customer, the Hamburg plant, and the plant strategy planning team.
Your Location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.
Our Benefits For You
Fair Compensation & Extras: Attractive remuneration and individual additional benefits, such as company pension schemes, mobility offers (e.g., bike leasing), or corporate discounts with partner companies in accordance with our current guidelines.
Time for You (and Your Loved Ones): 30 days of annual leave based on our collective agreement (35-hour week); work-life balance through flexible working hours (flextime), mobile working, part-time options, job sharing, and sabbatical opportunities.
Growth Made Easy: Excellent professional development opportunities and international, group-wide career perspectives.
Feel Good at Work: On-site company doctor; comprehensive health programs (sports courses, preventive care, etc.), canteen and cafeteria, and local childcare facilities at selected locations.
Diversity Connects: Work in a diverse environment with more than 140 nationalities, where exchange, mutual support, and inclusion are part of our DNA.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
Lead construction and infrastructure projects as well as a portfolio of critical ramp-up initiatives for plant Hamburg.
Independently calculate CAPEX applications for new equipment and machinery, directly coordinating technical specifications with key stakeholders.
Act as a central link in multifunctional teams to ensure that resources and hall infrastructure are fully operational for production.
Monitor end-to-end performance through KPI-based governance and proactively deliver data-driven analyses to management.
Develop comprehensive decision papers and continuously identify risks to ensure production stability in partnership with Finance and Facility Management.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
Academic Background: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional Expertise & Methodology: Proven track record in managing strategic construction or ramp-up projects within an industrial environment—ideally in assembly - complemented by proficiency in agile methodologies, Change Management, Six Sigma, and essential digital tools (SAP, G-Suite).
Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multifunctional teams and complex networks without direct line authority, serving as an effective communicator and mediator to align diverse stakeholder perspectives.
Analytical & Entrepreneurial Mindset: A structured, data-driven approach with a strong affinity for processes and figures, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple parallel projects.
Flexibility & Integrity: Exceptional adaptability in a dynamic, international environment, combined with a deep sense of responsibility regarding compliance and risk mitigation.
Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in German and English, with the confidence to engage effectively from the shop floor to senior leadership.
