Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking undergrad or graduate level students actively pursuing a degree to join our 2027 summer internship program. This nine-week program will be fully in-person and expose interns to the day-to-day activities of an Analyst in Global Client Group’s Operations department.
The GCG Operations Intern (Insights) will support several sales enablement initiatives that are critical to the firm’s strategic sales efforts. The internship will provide exposure to a variety of teams and their projects. The internship will involve leveraging internal and third-party data to draw actionable insights in an efficient way, in addition to supporting functions around data governance, sales operations, and reporting.
The role falls within the GCG (Global Client Group) Sales Operations division, which supports the day-to-day operational needs of the sales group in the areas of business insights, product management, intermediary relationships, client onboarding, reporting and administrative services.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data to support various sales goals and campaigns
- Assist with developing business intelligence capabilities for enablement of US sales channels utilizing Power BI and Snowflake
- Identify areas to improve data automation and partner with colleagues to implement solutions
- Effectively complete day-to-day responsibilities and tasks largely based on direction and support received from others
- Basic understanding of underlying systems used to generate standard reporting
- Help maintain and improve process maps and documentation
- Proactively communicate needs, challenges, and capacity
- Develop a robust understanding of Dimensional’s investment philosophy and process
Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.2; pursuing an undergraduate or specialized Master’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 - June 2028
- Coursework in mathematics, statistics, analytics, database management, or data visualization is preferred
- Documented analytical and quantitative skills; strong background working with data
- Strong computer skills (advanced Excel, SQL, Python, etc.)
- Experience with communicating and creating data visuals
- Ability to gather requirements amid ambiguity
- Interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills
- Team oriented – ability to apply analytical and decision-making skills in a collaborative environment
- Proactive in nature, and capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
