Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. 

Accountabilities

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

Join us as a Senior Risk Data Modeller at Barclays, where you will lead the design and delivery of risk data solutions, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and controlled data to support regulatory calculations, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

To be successful as a Senior Risk Data Modeller, you should have:

• Extensive experience within Financial Services, with a background in Risk.

• Proven delivery of regulatory initiatives, including Stress Testing and FRTB.

• Hands-on experience modelling complex upstream and calculated risk data.

Highly valued skills include:

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

• Knowledge of either FX, Interest Rates, Credit, or Equities.

• Experience collaborating with technology teams using tools such as Python and Git.

You will be assessed on key skills including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and technology leadership.

This role will be based in London.
