Position Summary / Career Interest:

The primary role of the Resiliency Analyst is to ensure, protect, and support continuous business operations for the health system during times of supply chain disruptions- including medical/surgical, medical device and pharmaceutical. The Resiliency Analyst is responsible for carrying out the necessary research and analysis in detail to support all health system stakeholders, including building and maintaining a substitution product framework for all supplies and collaborating with other teams to build diversification of suppliers for like products meeting same fit, form, and function to promote risk mitigation for the organization. Monitoring trusted sites for weather and current events will be a key strategy for this position with the flexibility to adapt to new situations as they arise. The Resiliency Analyst will lead and organize multiple workgroups and task forces to provide both continued sustainment of medical/surgical, medical device and pharmaceutical supply chain resiliency, but to manage through complex disruptions. This role will require team members to possess expertise in communication both written and verbal and be equally effective as an individual contributor and a team player.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Identifies and diversifies sourcing strategies for defined products listed in item master (medical surgical, medical device and pharmaceutical).
  • Maintains documented knowledge of global manufacturing capabilities and update and communicates team.
  • Ability to influence others using data and documented evidence.
  • Builds out strategic reserve opportunities internally and in partnership with system distribution partners, GPO.
  • Works with leadership to develop disaster management, contingency and resiliency plans based on data and analytics.
  • Participates in planning sessions with suppliers to develop forecasting processes.
  • Works closely with internal business partners as requested, proactively building mitigation strategies to manage disruptions, including Category Management to build/insert scripted language around country of origin, risk sharing, productions schedules, transparency between both parties.
  • Participates with other Spend Management teams and Pharmacy Supply Chain in supplier reviews supporting transparency.
  • Leads resiliency workgroups and task forces related to the continuous evolvement of the program and complex supply chain disruptions (control towers).
  • Works with leader and peers to develop continual audits of all strategies to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to organizational operations.
  • Participates in ongoing continuous improvement exercises to test strategies.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 or more years of experience in one of the following areas of supply chain: (Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Inventory Management).
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated experience in working with large scale projects and initiatives.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 7 or more years of experience in demand planning and forecasting.
  • 7 or more years of experience in leading large-scale projects and leading initiatives and working with corporate level executives.

Knowledge Requirements
  • Self-motivated individual with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to connect the dots amongst conversations, research and processes.
  • Fascination with researching current affairs and their impact on supply chain, globally.
  • Possess strong communication skills via written, verbal and audio.
  • Ability to navigate through calm and urgent situations with confidence and execution.
  • Ability to make decisions for the betterment of our patients and organizations.
  • Knowledge of how supply chain processes work from end-to-end.
