Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, access issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate professionally with site stakeholders, and support a positive environment for a large-scale technology operations location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
