Our CACI facility in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced Director of Product Line Management (PLM)
• The Director of Product Line Management will lead the PLM team, holding responsibility for the overall product strategy and lifecycle management of our portfolio of commercial Tactical EW (Electronic Warfare) products and accessories
• This position reports to the site General Manager and supports a growing, product focused, organization specializing in engineering design and onsite manufacturing of tactical radio systems
• Ideal candidates will have 15+ years of relevant experience, including collecting market requirements for site investment strategy and business case development
• Position is 100% on site in Rochester, NY
• Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 20%

Responsibilities:

Accountable for PLM Department staff, overseeing development projects from inception through obsolescence and sustainment, and delivering successful investments for market expansion and business growth
• Promote and ensure collaborative leadership across site, driving overall product line strategy and multiyear technical roadmaps to meet strategic objectives of the business
• With support from Sales and Program Management teams, collect customer requirements, use cases, and market research, driving product development decisions and opportunities for innovation
• Oversee the entire lifecycle across a catalog of Tactical EW products, participating in all phases of the New Product Introduction process, including business case analysis, engineering and operations reviews, and project performance tracking
• Work closely with the Engineering, Finance, and Program Management teams to develop execution and resource plans tied to internal and external investment
• Manage the site price catalog, implementing pricing strategy for new and existing product offerings
• Support preparation of product white papers, proposals, and request for information responses

Qualifications:

Required:

• BS degree in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with 10 years managing a product portfolio or related role
• Expert proficiency preparing business plans and product briefings
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, engineering development, and manufacturing
• Understand Configuration Management best practices and processes including product development stages, release to manufacturing, and engineering change orders
• Demonstrated experience creating and presenting briefings to communicate across teams and senior leadership
• Broad knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering principals, RF signals, System Engineering design, and wireless communication technologies
• Present to internal and external stakeholders latest product strategies, market updates, and customer briefings
• Prior experience managing and developing a team of Product Line Managers

Desired:

• Familiarity with tactical military radios, RF related products, and EW Systems
• Experience working with 3rd party vendors, creating relationships and partnerships
• Basic understanding of circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly
• Prior experience and knowledge of US DoD and international government contracting
• Active TS/SCI security clearance

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
