What we are looking for 

Charles River Development (CRD) is a State Street company that provides front-office investment management software to State Street, State Street's clients, and external clients. The Business Operations Oversight team sits within the office of the COO in the CRD organization and oversees the external audit function. This Associate 2 role will support the External Audit team, with a primary focus on responding to client due diligence questionnaires and managing general client questions and queries relating to CRD's control environment, audit reports, policies, and governance practices. 

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong written communication and analytical skills. The successful candidate will coordinate responses across subject matter experts, review supporting documentation, maintain accurate records, and help ensure that client requests are answered clearly, consistently, and within agreed timelines. The role requires sound judgment, a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. 

Why this job is important to us 

This role is important to CRD because timely, accurate, and consistent responses to client due diligence requests help clients understand CRD’s control environment and support their risk management and oversight obligations. The role will also improve coordination across internal teams, strengthen the quality and consistency of client-facing responses, and help identify opportunities to standardize and continuously improve the due diligence response process. 

This position is based in Hyderabad, India and requires four days a week in the Hyderabad office.

What you are responsible for 

• Coordinate and prepare responses to client due diligence questionnaires, requests for information, and general audit-related queries 

• Review client questions, identify the appropriate subject matter experts, and coordinate complete and timely responses 

• Use approved audit reports, policies, standards, and other authoritative materials to support accurate and consistent responses 

• Maintain a central record of requests, response status, supporting evidence, approvals, and final client communications 

• Perform quality checks for completeness, accuracy, consistency, grammar, and alignment with approved CRD messaging before responses are issued 

• Track deadlines, follow up on outstanding inputs, escalate delays or concerns, and support reporting on request volumes, status, and recurring themes 

Education and Preferred Qualifications 

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience 

• Prior experience in audit support, risk, compliance, client due diligence, information security, financial services, or a related operational role is preferred 

Skills 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or control-related information into clear client-facing responses 

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, consistent, and high-quality work 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines 

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret questions, identify information gaps, and engage the correct stakeholders 

• Collaborative and professional approach, with discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
