Description
Based in São Paulo, you will contribute to the firm, by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesising conclusions into recommendations.
The successful applicants will combine strong quantitative skills, dedication and performance in team-oriented environments.
The intern will learn from a dynamic, and intellectually stimulating, yet supportive environment. They will enjoy autonomy, the opportunity to substantially influence major decisions in the energy sector, and to grow into industry experts.
This internship is open to students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, and other quantitative fields at top-tier universities).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients’ decision-making
- Interact closely with our modelling team, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model results
- Contribute to Aurora’s product development, by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilities
- Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements
- Communicate and present findings to clients
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required attributes:
- Enrollment in undergraduate programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or other quantitative fields at top-tier universities
- An ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information
- Perform in team-oriented environment.
- Dedication and commitment to set objectives and goals
- An ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical parties
- Genuine interest in understanding the Brazilian power market
- Fluency in English and Portuguese - Only CVs in English will be considered
Desirable attributes:
- Interest in conducting analysis on power markets
- Competence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)
