Public Health Nursing Professional (Temporary Extra Help)

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and adaptable Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving community health and providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to educate patients and families, coordinate care, make appropriate referrals, and work collaboratively with health care providers and community partners. Experience in public health, community health, case management, immunizations, or communicable disease prevention is highly desirable. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to effectively serve diverse populations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Sciences and an active California RN license are required.

Mono County Public Health works to protect and promote the health and well-being of residents and communities throughout the Eastern Sierra. The department provides a range of programs and services focused on disease prevention, health education, immunizations, maternal and child health, community outreach, and connecting individuals with health care and community resources. Public Health staff work closely with residents, health care providers, community organizations, and other government agencies to address local health needs and improve access to services.
