Women's bottoms and knit designer

Position: Designer – Women's Bottoms & Cut & Sew Knits
Location: New York Office (on-site)
Type: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: $85,000–$90,000


Role Overview:
This person will work closely with the Sr. Design Director and collaborate cross-functionally with product development, production, and merchandising to bring collections from concept to delivery.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and develop women's woven bottoms across multiple seasons
• Strong follow-up & management of cut-and-sew knit styles
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs from sketch through final approval
• Build and manage CADs for presentations and line reviews
• Work within PLM systems to track and update product information
• Partner with product development and factories on fit, construction, and material approvals
• Attend fittings and provide clear, accurate comments
• Support the design director in seasonal presentations to buyers and leadership
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Key Requirements:

• 4–5 years of design experience focused on women's bottoms and cut & sew knits
• A branded background is strongly preferred
• Excellent tech pack skills — must work independently and with precision
• Strong CAD skills
• Good working knowledge of PLM systems
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline-driven
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player who works well cross-functionally
