Speech Therapist - Exeter Hospital

Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy evaluation and treatment for patients with neurological or developmental speech, language, communication and/or feeding/swallowing disorders to improve and/or restore function and prevent disability.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Select, administer, and interpret clinically appropriate assessments.
• Integrate educational, medical, social, and psychological factors when evaluating patients and determining treatment diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care that promote skill development, functional independence, and successful participation in activities of daily living and community activities.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify plans of care as needed to reflect changes in patient performance, progress, or condition.
• Design home exercise programs to encourage skill carryover and promote independence; provide instruction and supervision to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including treatment notes, insurance authorizations, referrals, consents, and other required medical and educational records.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and licensure requirements.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and families while promoting patient rights and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, contracted agencies, schools, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate services and maximize patient outcomes.
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Master's degree; graduate of an accredited program
• Dysphagia & MBS (Inpatient)
• Speech Language Pathologist – NH
• CPR certified within 90 days of hire

 

 

Pay Range:

$33.54 - $55.00

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
