Intermediate Software Developer

Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to support the design, development, maintenance, and modernization of software applications while collaborating with cross-functional development and DevOps teams.

 

This position is hybrid and requires on-site support at Scott AFB, IL.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skillsets.
• Write clean, maintainable code using object-oriented design patterns and solid principles
• Develop comprehensive unit test suites with high code coverage using mocking frameworks (Moq, NSubstitute)
• Support and enhance legacy .NET Framework applications while planning   modernization strategies
• Engage in application design process as a technical contributor.
• Troubleshoot advanced production issues in collaboration with DevOps.
• Stay up to date on advanced programming techniques and software technologies.
• Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements.
• Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional Development team in a fast paced highly technical environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance (required).
• Associates degree with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Security+ Certification REQUIRED
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in system integration is a plus.
• Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a development team.
• Experience with the Agile software development process in accordance with USG defined requirements.
• Experience developing applications in .NET
• Experience developing in a Cloud environment.
• Experience working with hybrid/remote development teams.
• Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in system integration is a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working on a GIS application.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with AWS EC2.
• Familiarity with basic server administration tasks.
• Familarity working with IA (Information Assurance) and QA.
• Experience Developing in Java
