Responsibilities / Tasks
We are looking for a Service Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Alcobendas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to apply deep technical knowledge in a primarily office-based service environment, supporting customers and service teams with strong technical solutions. Candidates with less experience will also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong technical potential and a willingness to develop within the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze customer requests in close collaboration with local Sales and Technical Service teams, as well as GEA Technology Centers, ensuring accurate definition of the technical scope for quotations.
- Serve as the technical reference for the Service Support team and customers once the relevant service technologies are mastered, acting as the primary technical liaison with the Technology Centers.
- Drive the development of technical expertise and capabilities within the local service support team in coordination with the various Technology Centers.
- Prepare and oversee quotations and order confirmations, ensuring technical consistency, accuracy, and commercial alignment.
- Process and monitor customer orders, returns, and credit notes in SAP, ensuring correct pricing and commercial conditions throughout the Order-to-Cash cycle.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Service Sales, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Technical Service.
- Support delivery, shipping, and invoicing processes, managing exceptions and engaging with customers and suppliers when required.
- Ensure data integrity and proactive maintenance of SAP master data (customers, materials, pricing), identifying and resolving inconsistencies impacting service levels.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and actively contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Previous experience in industrial or engineering environments is a strong advantage.
- Proven operational experience with SAP, particularly in Quotations, Order management, Deliveries, Returns, Billing
- Fluent Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages are considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with logistics and invoicing workflows.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy, particularly in master data management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in demanding environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer-centric, service-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational quality.
