What Customer Service Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Customer Service is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing customer business through contract administration, customer orders, and problem resolution.
Customer Service Operations is responsible for providing outsourced services to customers relating to medical billing, medical reimbursement, and/or other services by acting as a liaison in problem-solving, research, and problem/dispute resolution.
Job Summary
The Compression and LTA Product Specialist serves as our team's subject-matter expert on compression garments and the products covered under the Lymphedema Treatment Act (LTA), which expanded Medicare Part B coverage for compression supplies. This person will support our sales efforts, educate referral sources and patients, and help our internal teams stay current on coverage guidelines so patients can get the products they need, process orders in an efficient manner and own all communication with the patients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to expert on compression garments and LTA-covered products for both internal teams and external partners
- Educate referral sources (physicians, physical and occupational therapists, lymphedema therapists) and patients on product options and LTA coverage guidelines
- Support the sales team with product demonstrations, training, and technical guidance
- Stay current on LTA policy updates, relevant HCPCS codes, and Medicare/insurance coverage criteria for compression supplies
- Assist patients and providers with product selection based on clinical needs
- Partner with the billing and reimbursement team to support accurate documentation and claims
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, distributors, and manufacturers
- Represent company at trade shows, conferences, and educational events
- Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape in compression therapy
- Share market and customer feedback with product and marketing teams
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 2+ years of experience in DME sales, medical device sales, or another healthcare product role preferred
- Prior Bright tree experience a plus
- Comfort learning and explaining insurance/Medicare billing processes, particularly DMEPOS
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Ability to travel for client visits, trade shows, and training as needed preferred
- Prior experience with compression therapy or lymphedema treatment products
- Familiarity with the Lymphedema Treatment Act and its impact on Medicare coverage
- Maintain existing relationships with referral sources such as physicians, lymphedema therapists, or DME providers

Anticipated hourly range: $20.02 per hour - $25.78 per hour
