Referral Manager, Organ Recovery
DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Referral Manager, Organ Recovery. This position is responsible for the supervision, management and training of the Organ Referral team. Responsible for the daily operations of organ referral pertaining to positions supervised. Ensures that all DonorConnect, UNOS, and AOPO policies, programs, objectives, and strategies are supported. Ensures that services are professionally and efficiently delivered. Collaborates with the Operations Manager, Organ Recovery; Clinical Manager, Organ Recovery; Supervisor, Organ Recovery; and Regional Supervisors, Organ Recovery on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Manages assignments within a department within the organization. In collaboration with the Director, Organ Procurement; Operations Manager, Organ Recovery; Clinical Manager, Organ Recovery; Supervisors Organ Recovery, sets and implements the strategic goals of the department. Gains support of team and other teams to meet these goals. Communicates and emulates the mission, vision and values of the organization.
2. Oversees the financial activities and documentation of expenses and payroll.
3. Responsible for the quality assurance/improvement activities which includes PEC project meeting preparation, internal audits, staff training and regulatory standards.
4. Responsible for employee engagement through performance management activities such as one-on-one meetings, providing feedback, coaching, following organizational P&C practices, and personal development planning.
5. Conducts oneself in a manner that is professional, polite, assumes good intent, respectful, supportive, shares expertise, and facilitates positive team(s) interaction. 6. Responsible for daily operations of organ referral. Responsible for effective staffing and hiring. Engages in process improvement through regular review, problem solving, and engaging with other departments. Contributes to case review and ORC team meetings. Responsible for directly supervising Organ Referral Supervisor, Organ Referral Coordinator (ORC) roles and responsibilities, referral activities, supporting all frontline staff as needed, providing staffing to support operations, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Consulted for AOC 1 and AOC 2 functions as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training/Education/Certification:

Maintain healthcare licensure (RN Preferred)

Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years' healthcare experience required. Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and OPO experience preferred; relevant outside experience may be considered.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of the organ and tissue transplant fields

Understanding of the critical care environment

Knowledge of computer hardware and software

Able to manage a brain-dead donor through independent critical thinking and problem solving, priority setting, and resourcefulness
