Senior IT Project Manager

The AEGIS program at Leidos is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of NASA and Kennedy Space Center project engagements in accordance with the AEGIS Statement of Work, established budgets, customer expectations, and industry best practices.

These engagements typically involve the multi-year delivery of Information Technology (IT) services, including systems integration for imagery, data transport systems and distribution, specialized voice systems, NASA documentation, and configuration management administration.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in project management, interpersonal and team-building skills, and the ability to collaborate on and manage technical or business projects, processes, and deliverables. The candidate will also have the ability to recommend solutions, develop strong customer relationships, and drive a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Senior IT Project Manager will work collaboratively across project engagements with minimal direct supervision while coordinating effectively with others to successfully execute assigned tasks and project requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide management and oversight in support of NASA IT COMM and OCIO projects as assigned by the Director of Mission Communication Services.
• Maintain controlled area access training as assigned to facilitate entry to controlled areas, working within elevated (heights) work areas, hazardous and clean room locations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve organization and operational system business processes, procedures, and standards that promote cross-element standardization.
• Identify project risk and mitigate that risk keeping the project on track.
• Interface and collaborate with team members, NASA Government leadership and other support contractor teams in the delivery of services to successfully complete assigned projects in support of NASA and Kennedy Space Center and Launch Operations supporting Exploration Ground Systems for Artemis and commercial space flight customers.
• Participate in lifecycle project management including requirements analysis, design, and implementation as well as timely, accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with other contractors and supporting groups at KSC.
• Prepare monthly activities report in support of contract deliverables including daily time reporting for AEGIS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of IT project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience with business management processes, documentation, budget planning and reporting, and customer service.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with NASA technical and operational teams to understand procurement requirements and recommend procurement decisions based on those requirements.
• Ability to develop deliverables, presentations, project plans, and spreadsheets, with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, including an understanding of Waterfall schedules.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with peers, management, operational and technical teams, NASA Government customers, and partner contractors.
• Strong facilitation, consensus-building, decision-making, creative problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to conduct meetings, multitask, prioritize work, and manage deliverables in an interrupt-driven environment.
• Experience with IT project lifecycle management, including formulation, requirements collection and analysis, design testing, validation, verification, implementation, operational transition, and post-operational management, is a plus.

CLEARACE REQUIREMENTS: 

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10–15 years of progressively responsible Information Technology (IT) experience, including costing, planning, and execution.
• 3+ years of experience managing medium-sized professional IT services engagements, including Federal program management experience.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading IT configuration, change, process, and documentation management activities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
