We're seeking someone to join our Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) team as an Executive Director in Treasury to lead work across a variety of regulatory initiatives.

 

Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory service to senior management and internal business units. It also optimizes the Firm's liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors.

 

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

 

This is an Executive Director level position within the our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

 

What you'll do in the role:
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
> Own and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and providing oversight across execution, quality and delivery timelines
> Proactively identify emerging risks in individual, department and program-level work, oversee strategies for mitigating them and escalate key issues appropriately
> Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
> Act as a senior subject matter expert to evaluate any impacts that changes to the Firm's activities (e.g., new products) may have on its resiliency and resolvability
> Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements related to recovery planning and oversee their application within relevant deliverables, governance materials and change initiatives
> Drive coordination with stakeholders, resolve dependencies and ensure project milestones are met
> Lead collaboration across multiple teams to maintain and enhance documentation, capabilities and processes, including strategic change initiatives and remediation efforts in response to regulatory feedback
> Serve as a senior interface between topical subject matter experts, internal governance bodies and external regulators, ensuring materials are clear, accurate and appropriately positioned
> Oversee program management, reporting and ad hoc governance or regulatory requests, ensuring appropriate prioritization, execution and senior stakeholder communication
> Oversee the team's risks and controls and associated documentation (e.g., policies & procedures), ensuring they remain current, effective and aligned with governance expectations
> Create and oversee effective presentations for senior management forums and regulators, including reviewing content for strategic messaging, accuracy and completeness
> Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function


What you'll bring to the role:
> Advanced understanding of Treasury, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division, with the ability to provide effective oversight and strategic direction
> Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback, coach team members and acknowledge efforts while building capability across the team
> Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, including senior stakeholders, and lead plans to mitigate those risks
> Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to synthesize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity, brevity and sound judgment
> Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt to your audience
> Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
> Ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence outcomes across functions and levels of seniority
> Initiative to identify problems, set direction and drive tasks to completion with limited guidance
> A strong sense of organization and time management skills
> Experience of working in a high-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and providing clear direction under time constraints
> Previous experience in Financial services
> At least 8-12 years’ relevant experience with requisite competencies relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
