Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Location: Beverly, MA

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Shift: Second Shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm)

 

Overtime: Available at 1.5x base pay

Shift Differential: 10% of base pay

It is a critical part of our global operations, ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed to support manufacturing and customer commitments.

Leveraging cutting-edge automation, AI-driven Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and advanced material handling systems, our logistics team keeps operations running safely, efficiently, and accurately. As our Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift), you will play a key leadership role in overseeing these operations, developing employees, and driving continuous improvement in a modern, technology-enabled environment.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for driving the performance, safety, and efficiency of second-shift warehouse operations. This role oversees a team supporting receiving, inventory management, material movement, order fulfillment, picking, and shipping activities that directly impact manufacturing operations and customer delivery commitments.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with operational excellence to ensure inventory accuracy, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the warehouse operation.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate second-shift warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material movement, and shipping.

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates responsible for supporting manufacturing operations and customer shipments while maintaining a safe, productive, and engaged work environment.
• Ensure incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, and transacted into inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance with company requirements.
• Lead the timely picking and delivery of materials to production and other operational areas, ensuring the right materials are available at the right place and time.
• Ensure finished goods are packaged according to specifications and shipped accurately and on schedule to meet customer commitments.

• Ensure material availability to support production schedules and manufacturing requirements.
• Partner with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve issues and optimize material flow.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve warehouse methods, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and maintain documentation reflecting departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate warehouse employees to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Support the adoption and effective utilization of warehouse automation technologies, including AMRs and advanced material handling systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and service levels.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• 2 - 5 years of professional experience with a minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in warehouse operations

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to drive safety, productivity, quality, and customer service objectives.

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and material handling practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple shifts and cross-functional teams to support business and production goals.

• Experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with automation, robotics, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$36.41 - $54.61

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
