Context
The Architectural Designer (Revit) will support the Stops & TPSS scope by producing and coordinating architectural documentation for transit facilities. The role focuses on preparing consistent drawing packages across multiple locations while adapting corridor-wide standards to site-specific conditions.
Missions/Main Duties
- Produce the full architectural documentation set.
- Prepare floor plans, sections, elevations, flooring and finish layouts, finish schedules, architectural details, inclusive route plans, egress plans, and wayfinding/signage layouts and schedules across stops.
- Develop typical architectural floor plans, exterior elevations and sections, site plans, and screening drawings across sites.
- Support the development of the building typical 3D model.
- Work from corridor-wide typicals and adapt them for each location while maintaining consistency across the drawing set between stops.
- Maintain the architectural Revit model.
- Support clash detection and federation.
- Incorporate review comments from the Architecture Lead and reissue deliverables at each milestone.
Profile/Skills
- Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience producing architectural documentation for transit, institutional, or public buildings.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including families, sheets, schedules, view templates, and drawing set management.
- Working knowledge of AODA and CSA B651 as they apply to platform circulation, tactile indicators, and accessible routes.
- Ability to work from typical details and adapt them across multiple near-identical locations.
- Architectural Technologist diploma, OAA intern status, or equivalent is considered an asset.
