Summary:
Our Group Exercise Instructors work with fitness center members of various age, gender and fitness levels. Instructors lead a variety of classes including, but not limited to, Step, Body Sculpting/Strength, Kickboxing, Pilates, Core, Yoga, Spinning, Zumba, and other specialty classes. In this group setting, instructors are required to motivate and educate class participants on proper exercise technique. Instructors design and implement safe and effective group classes, provide a motivating and enjoyable environment, and assist participants with equipment set-up and use. Classes must be safe and effective for all fitness levels with intensity modifications provided as necessary. All instructors must implement proper cuing and injury prevention practices. Instructors must have an understanding of proper equipment use and implementation and the ability to work with a wide variety of exercise equipment and training modalities.
Essential Functions:
Lead a variety of classes including, but not limited to, Step, Body Sculpting/Strength, Kickboxing, Pilates, Core, Yoga, Spinning, Zumba, and other specialty classes.
Motivate and educate class participants on proper exercise technique.
Design and implement safe and effective group classes.
Provide a motivating and enjoyable environment.
Assist participants with equipment set-up and use.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
5 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$24.00 -$44.00 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
A nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification is required.
All instructors must also hold and maintain current CPR/AED Certifications.
