Description
Location: 11340 South 153rd Street, Papillion, NE, 68138, US
Schedule: Temporary 2nd shift position. 4:30PM - 12AM.
Job Summary:
Provides clerical and administrative support to
the Logistics Department by preparing shipping documentation, coordinating
carrier activities, maintaining records, and assisting with reporting and data
management.
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Check in carriers and direct them accordingly based on inbound or outbound shipping
procedures
- Prepare motor carrier bills of lading and related shipping documentation.
- Notify carriers when trailers are ready for departure from Central Fulfillment
- Prepare, code, and verify freight bills for payment; reconcile payments against applicable reports.
- Maintain and organize departmental files, records, and procedure manuals; update
documentation as needed.
- Compile and report daily truck loading data on all UPS shipments.
- Prepare and process Canadian shipping documents via the Airborne shipping system;
complete end-of-day documentation and update customer files with corresponding
airbill numbers.
- Generate shipping labels using UPS worldship program and perform end-of-day closeout procedures.
- Track and compile data for consumer direct spoilage, non-delivery claims, and drop-ship history.
- Maintain logistics department expense records and prepare UPS credit request logs.
- Provide clerical assistance and Excel-based reporting support to Logistics Department management and staff.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- PC experience including Word and Excel. 3-6 months general office experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use basic mathematical skills to perform computations
- Knowledge of PC, including Word and Excel.
- Three to six months general office experience.
