Seeking Garage Door Technicians — Guaranteed Base Pay + High Commission, Elite Bonuses, Ongoing Training & Career Growth
Precision Door Service of Central Arkansas - 12 years in business; BBB award for ethics. We’re a high-integrity team focused on quality work, training, and giving technicians the responsibility and tools to succeed.
We’re hiring experienced, mechanically minded technicians who are people-first, professional, and driven. No prior garage-door experience required if you’re strong with tools, carpentry/mechanical work, and customer service. We provide stocked trucks for techs to drive to job sites.
What you’ll do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential garage door systems (trucks stocked for ~95% of repairs)
- Install doors/parts when assigned (door-installer role also available)
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication
- Stock and inspect truck inventory daily
- Participate in an on-call/rotating emergency schedule
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base pay: $1,650 biweekly (equivalent to $42,900/year) for full-time. Commission is paid after base pay.
- Repair commission (after parts): starts at 15%.
- Door sales commission: 7% after parts (paid on completion and full payment).
- Emergency call: tech receives $100 of the $255 service fee plus commission on that job.

Who we’re looking for
- Experience as a garage door technician or installer, a plus
- Excellent hands-on/mechanical skills; comfortable with hand and power tools
- Good communicator and customer-service oriented
- Highly loyal, professional, self-motivated; driven by outside interests/hobbies a plus
- Basic carpentry and field problem-solving ability preferred
- Retail, bartending, or service experience is a plus
- Comfortable embracing technology and AI-enhanced tools
Truck & Tools
- Fully stocked trucks supplied to handle most residential repairs.
- Techs must have basic hand tools; full tool list provided. Missing items can be supplied and repaid over three pay periods.
- Technicians do not take trucks home.
· Schedule
- Five-day workweek (Mon–Sat rotation). Typical start 7:30 AM; last jobs finish 4–6 PM.
- Emergency on-call rotation evenings (6–8 PM) and Sundays as scheduled; emergency calls earn an emergency fee + commission.
Training & Growth
Hands-on training led by ownership and senior techs. Top performers can grow into leadership and field-ops roles and access ongoing training opportunities.
