This is a contract position providing services to Helmerich & Payne (H&P) through a third-party staffing agency. If you are selected for this role, you will be an employee of the agency and not H&P.
Duration: Contract minimum of 9 months with potential for extension

The Recruiter plays a critical role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent to support Helmerich & Payne's strategic business objectives. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional experience to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the full recruitment lifecycle. The Recruiter serves as a trusted talent acquisition partner, ensuring efficient execution of recruiting processes while enhancing employer branding, supporting onboarding initiatives, and contributing to early career recruiting programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, customer-focused service, and a passion for building relationships while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
Support the full recruitment lifecycle for corporate, operational, and technical positions across the organization.
Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, job requirements, and recruitment strategies.
Source, screen, and assess candidates through various recruiting channels.
Review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet established qualifications.
Conduct initial candidate screenings and facilitate movement throughout the selection process.
Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Ensure all recruiting activities comply with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Candidate Experience
Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
Respond to recruiting inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
Draft and manage candidate communications including interview invitations, status updates, offer-related correspondence, and onboarding instructions.
Ensure consistent and transparent communication throughout all stages of recruitment.
Interview Coordination & Logistics
Coordinate and schedule phone, virtual, and onsite interviews.
Manage interview logistics for candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams.
Coordinate candidate travel arrangements and reimbursement processes as needed.
Prepare interview schedules and supporting documentation.
Ensure a seamless interview experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders.
Pre-Employment & Onboarding Support
Facilitate pre-employment requirements including:
Background screenings
Drug screenings
Physical examinations
Employment verification processes
Coordinate with HR Support Center and business partners to ensure hiring requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
Support completion of onboarding activities, including I-9 processing and rehire documentation.
Assist in new hire orientation and onboarding programs to support successful integration into the organization.
Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing
Support recruitment marketing initiatives designed to attract qualified talent.
Develop and execute recruiting-related social media content and communication plans.
Enhance H&P's employer brand through strategic outreach and candidate engagement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote employment opportunities and organizational culture.
Support initiatives that strengthen H&P's reputation as an employer of choice.
Early Career & Campus Recruiting
Support university recruiting efforts and workforce development initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, student organizations, and community partners.
Represent the company at career fairs, recruiting events, and networking opportunities.
Assist in planning and executing internship and early career development programs.
Partner with Talent Management to coordinate onboarding, engagement, and program activities for interns and entry-level talent.
Stakeholder Partnership
Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and business leaders.
Provide timely updates regarding candidate pipelines and recruitment activities.
Collaborate across Human Resources to improve processes and deliver effective hiring solutions.
Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
What you need:
High School Diploma or GED.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in recruiting, human resources, talent acquisition, communications, education, staffing, customer service, sales, or a related field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Not a must, but a plus
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting processes.
Experience working in a corporate, agency, or high-volume recruiting environment.
Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies preferred.
