Maintenance Technician II

Compensation: $32.00 - $34.00 / hour
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, support equipment, and facility systems.
- Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in the maintenance system.
- Assist with equipment moves, installations, and upgrades to support production needs.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and help develop/update related work instructions.
- Support equipment improvement projects
- Work with contractors and skilled trades on assigned projects.
- Conduct basic safety checks, participate in safety training, and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain parts inventory by tracking usage and reporting needs.
- Help keep the maintenance shop organized, clean, and functional.
- Participate in facility upkeep, general repairs, and grounds-related tasks as needed.
- Work weekends, as required.
- Assist on special projects such as installing air systems, upgrading machinery, or supporting equipment rebuilds.
- Perform all skills and abilities associated with the Maintenance Utility Technician and Maintenance Technician I positions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-4 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including technical aptitude and time management skills.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new equipment and systems.
- Ability to read work instructions, follow procedures, and document completed work.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools.
- Intermediate welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
